Look for a smaller airport to depart from in major cities. Many of the larger cities have smaller airports that you can start your travel from. Cincinnati for example has Dayton that is not too far off to start your travel but, the benefits may be well worth it. First, the price is going to usually be bit cheaper than those larger airports. Often along with major carriers are some budget carriers that offer better rates in the smaller airports. Next the smaller airports usually have shorter lines at the ticket counters and at security checkpoints. This time saving feature is usually more valuable than the monetary savings. Bigger airports also have longer take off lines and gate changes can be further apart. The shopping and food vendors in smaller airports may not be as great but, with how much airports charge for the items they vend, you shouldn't be shopping there anyways. Support your smaller airports and see how nice it is to beat the big airport experience. Travel Safe, Travel Smart . . . Get Somewhere! |
