Why do we insist on jumping up out of our seat the second the aircraft comes to a stop? Often times people get a panicked sense of claustrophobia after landing and seem to think that it is an absolute must to get up out of their seat and into an aisle the second a plane stops moving. Why is this? I have never seen a flight where as soon as the door opens people can exit right away. Often times you have to wait for a jet bridge or ramp crew to set things up for deplaning. In the meantime you are left standing, cramped, in an aisle. Just take a deep breath and relax, sit until others in front of you begin moving forward. Then you can get up and exit the aircraft. Everyone is going to get off, I promise. Travel Safe, Travel Smart . . . Get Somewhere! |
