Everyone enjoys their own type of music. For some it’s Rap and Hip Hop, others may enjoy Techno or Heavy Metal, and some enjoy Country or one of the other various types of music out there. The point is, that while we may like our own music often times we don’t care for an others. The guy listening to Dr. Dre and Snoop isn’t likely to dig Celine Dion. When you listen to your music on a plane volume can make all the difference. Try to keep your music at a reasonable level. Blaring music through your headphones is rude and inconsiderate. The eighty year old woman next you probably doesn’t want to hear Slipknot growling out rough verses. The unaccompanied minor probably shouldn’t step off the plane knowing the lyrics to any song by 2 Live Crew thanks to you. Keep the volume low enough to enjoy it without broadcasting three rows back. There is a considerable amount of background noise in an aircraft cabin. There will be people talking, children crying, and jet engines. Some say that the music needs to be loud enough to block out all these things. This is not a good solution. If you would like to enjoy your music and not the flight attendants chatter you need to have noise cancelling headphones. These will knock out all the noises you hear and allow you to enjoy your music at a reasonable level. These types of headphones can phase out the noise of the jet engines. Listening to the low level noise from the jet engines for a couple of hours can be very fatiguing. Enjoy your music and let others have their peace. Travel Safe, Travel Smart . . . Get Somewhere! |
