Holiday packing can add to the stress of the season. In this tip we are bringing you some helpful hints on how to pack. First off lets talk gifts, don't wrap them because, if you do and T.S.A. needs to get into your package they are going to unwrap it. If you are taking fragile gifts or items make sure you pack them with a lot of cushion or padding. Basically pack it as if it were going through a war zone. Bags get tossed , thrown, smashed, bashed and just generally abused along the way. Don't over pack your luggage. Over stuffing a bag can put stress on the zippers and cause them to burst. Then, you won't be getting too much of your stuff back. Putting too much in a bag can cause it to get delayed at security check points and result in it following you later on. That may be hours, days, weeks, or you may never see your bag again. With your holiday film, (for those of you not using digital cameras) carry it on and let screeners at checkpoints know you have it. Some X-ray equipment can damage those precious memories. With a little care and thought you can increase your chances of coming out of this season relatively unscathed. Have a great holiday season! Travel Safe, Travel Smart . . . Get Somewhere! |
