This is a tip that most of us follow without much effort on a daily basis. Being arrested never holds much of an allure but, is even worse if it happens on airport property or during a flight. Since 9/11 airports and aircraft are not a place to misbehave. Security is taken seriously and any threat or perceived threat is treated pretty closely to an act terrorism. If you are arrested you can go on special security lists and be banned from flying. Air travel can be extremely stressful but, losing your temper, getting drunk or disorderly, and making inappropriate jokes or comments can carry serious consequences. Avoid getting into a screaming match with an airline representative because you probably won't win. At the very least you will probably earn a little chat with an airport police officer. Don't threaten anyone or get aggressively physical with people or inanimate objects because it will be over very quickly. Even on flight you never know who is on board, a federal air marshal, off duty police officers, or even Joe Q. Citizen has stepped in to subdue fellow passengers when things get out of hand. Keep your cool and act responsibly, try to enjoy the experience. When speed bumps arise take them with a grain of salt, the consequences are not worth it. Travel Safe, Travel Smart . . .
